Surgical Release

I understand that the doctors and staff will use all reasonable precautions against injury, escape, or death of my pet. I understand that anesthesia and surgery involve some risk to my pet and give permission to proceed with anesthesia and/or surgery.

Pain Medication

Depending on the procedure an injection for pain may be given to your pet post-surgery. Every surgical patient will be sent home with pain medication.

Laser Therapy

Every surgical patient will receive laser therapy on their wound post-surgery. This process speeds up the healing process and relieves pain.

Anti-Nausea Medication

Some dogs can experience post-surgical nausea and/or vomiting that can make them uncomfortable and unwilling to eat for a day or two following surgery. We can administer an anti-nausea medication to minimize this discomfort.

Pre-Anesthetic Testing Authorization

Advances in anesthesia and surgery have made routine surgery safer. While the doctors will perform a physical exam prior to surgery, an exam alone may not identify all of your pet's problems. Your pet is considered a senior and for his/her safety we will perform a pre-anesthetic profile of laboratory tests prior to anesthesia to help us identify any abnormalities that may result in an increased risk for your pet.
